Situated along the Catawba River, Tailrace Marina offers an array of services to make your boating experience more enjoyable. Their services include boat slip leasing and paddle board and kayak rentals. Their amenities include clean bathrooms and showers, picnic and grilling areas, and a fully stocked ship store that sells snacks, drinks, and merchandise. - Mountain Island Park Trail
The trailhead and parking area can be found beside Mountain Island Lake Dam, a Duke Power-owned hydroelectric dam. There are several fishing spots scattered throughout the trail where you can catch catfish and bass.
